One of the truly spectacular aspects of this resort is that they only allow a few guests into its premises at any given point, so as to keep occupancy minimal, thus respecting everyone’s need for solitude and peace. Because of its picturesque landscape, vast sprawling land, and solitariness, it serves as the ideal wedding or honeymoon spot. The accommodations are designed with an eye towards modern amenities while being true to the Fijian aesthetic of thatched roofs and all-wooden aesthetic. Each villa comes with its own heated plunge pool, spa, and a lounge room. Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort

The Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is a sprawling beach hotel established over 17 acres of land that once used to be a coconut plantation. It’s located in the south coast of the Vanua Levu Island, and it’s just a short drive over from the Savusavu airport. The town of Savusavu, which has been called the “hidden paradise of Fiji” by travel magazines, is close to the resort and ready for some eager exploration. If you care about supporting eco-friendly hotels and resorts, then this is the ideal location for you. It’s named after the environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau, and in its efforts to promote eco-tourism, it’s made of complete natural wood structures, and features a host of organic plants and gardens. Over 17 acres they feature only 25 bures, so as to prevent crowding and offer guests some seclusion if they so choose. In the evenings you can join in the revelry which comprises music and dance, and drinking of the kava, a local drink made from some plants and served in a coconut shell. As far as activities are concerned, the beach hotel arranges trips to the Namena marine reserve sites where you can embark on a diving course and even gain a PADI certification. You can also go snorkeling and walk along reefs, with their resident guide and marine biologist Johnny Singh.

Tokoriki Island Resort

The Tokoriki Island Resort is located in the enviable location just 35 kilometers from the west coast of Viti Levu, which is one of the Mamanuca group of islands. This is an exclusive adult only resort ideal for couples, honeymooners, and for events such as weddings. You can check into bures that belong to one of three categories — Beachfront Bures, Beachfront Pool Bures, and Sunset Pool Villas. The latter of these villas faces towards the setting sun over the sea, and as such it’s the ideal location for a romantic getaway. The Radisson Blu Resort is located on Denarau Island, which is the main island on Viti Levu, one of the most popular collection of islands within Fiji. There are 2 restaurants available in the hotel where guests can dine at, and you can also hop into a coffee shop for your morning fix. You can also enjoy the merriment of their evening entertainment featuring dancing, drinking, and a performance by local dancers. Wananavu Beach Resort is located on the sun coast with a view of Sailstone Reef and the Nananui Islands. It’s located a little over 2 hours from Nadi airport. Even though it’s very well connected, it still offers the kind of solitude and isolation from civilization that you might be hoping for. The resort comprises 34 deluxe bures and they’re all strewn across the beaches, hillside, etc. If you’d like a view of the setting sun, you should get the honeymoon bures. You can also enjoy a nice meal at their restaurant or sip on cocktails served from the bar while looking out at the sea.

It’s also extremely family friendly, and they offer activities for kids, a kids’ menu at the restaurant, and they have a Nalamu Nippers Kids Club where you can leave your kids if you’d like some quiet time to yourselves.

The Tanoa Waterfront Hotel is a great beach hotel located on Lautoka city. It’s a great hotel to stay at before you make your way to either Mamanuca or Yasawa Islands. It’s ideally suited for vacationers, honeymooners, and for businessmen. There are 92 rooms in the whole hotel and they’re all designed in a manner so as to offer plenty of natural light and a great view. They even have two swimming pools — a lap pool, and a kid-friendly pool. If you’re feeling stressed, you can unwind at the beauty care and spa area.
